Confirmation by email
The certificate authority will send an email to the domain administrator address with a unique code and a confirmation link.
Accepted addresses: admin@, administrator@, hostmaster@, webmaster@, postmaster@. In some cases, the administrative email from WHOIS can also be used.
Other validation methods
- HTTP/HTTPS — a verification file is uploaded to the site at a specified path (e.g. /.well-known/pki-validation/), and the certificate authority checks that it is accessible.
- DNS — a TXT record with a verification code is added to the domain's DNS zone. Useful when there is no access to the domain's mail or hosting.
A site over HTTPS does not trigger browser warnings and is ranked higher by search engines.
Data between the site and the visitor is transmitted encrypted: passwords and payment information are protected.
If needed, we will install the certificate on our servers or on a third-party provider's hosting.
The certificate is issued within 5 minutes after domain ownership is confirmed.
