Dear customers!
We’re happy to announce that support for Brotli compression has been added on our shared hosting servers
Compression works by default. No setup is required.
Brotli is an open-source data compression algorithm developed by Jyrki Alakuijala and Zoltan Szabadka.
The Brotli compression method is based on a modern variant of the LZ77 algorithm, Huffman entropy coding, and 2nd-order context modeling.
It’s designed to speed up web page loading and is supported in Chromium-based Chrome browsers and in Firefox.
The web server response header now looks like this:
HTTP/200server: nginxdate: Wed, 18 Aug 2021 13:14:43 GMTcontent-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8last-modified: Tue, 17 Aug 2021 07:36:36 GMTcache-control: max-age=2592000expires: Fri, 17 Sep 2021 13:14:43 GMTcontent-encoding: br
