GEN.TR — is one of the third-level domains of Turkey’s national .TR domain zone.
GEN originally stands for “general,” so .gen.tr is intended for general-purpose domain registration by individuals and legal entities. Unlike some other Turkish zones, .gen.tr historically did not require the domain name to match a company name or trademark. Registration was done on a “first come, first served” basis.
