PP.UA is a second-level Ukrainian domain zone oriented primarily toward private users and personal projects. The abbreviation “PP” stands for Private Person or People, which underscores the zone’s main concept — availability of the domain for individuals.
The PP.UA domain is free and available for registration without any restrictions based on citizenship or place of residence. Any user can register a domain name; no trademark or documents are required.
A distinctive feature of the PP.UA zone is mandatory domain activation after registration. After submitting an application, the user is sent an SMS code to the specified phone number, which must be confirmed for the domain to start working. Without confirmation, the domain is not delegated and may be deleted.
If the SMS code is not received, an alternative activation method is available via Telegram: https://slimhost.com.ua/faq/pp-ua-telegram/
The PP.UA domain control panel allows you to change contact details, configure NS servers, and renew the domain. Privacy Protection is not supported for this domain zone.
The registration period for a PP.UA domain is 1 year, with the option to renew. Renewal becomes available a few months before the expiration date. If the domain is not renewed in time, it may be deleted according to the registry’s rules.
It is also worth noting that the PP.UA zone has a registration limit — no more than 3 domains per phone number within 30 days.
